In September when the world’s focus shifts onto how we rebuild following the COVID-19 pandemic, Climate Week NYC (September 21-27) will explore what lessons we can learn in pursuit of a net-zero future that leaves no one behind. To accommodate the challenges and current uncertainties, The Climate Group will launch a digital platform that will host all major Climate Week NYC events to ensure that delegates and speakers can join irrespective of any travel restrictions in place at the time.

For 11 years VertueLab has brought together a community of future-focused leaders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and investors at an annual summit to fund, fuel, and catalyze solutions for climate change.

This year, Fuel 2020 (previously VertueLab Impact Summit) will be an immersive, targeted, digital experience spanning over three weeks in September with hour long events each day.

Kicking off on September 9th with an opening performance by Oregon’s poet laureate, Anis Mojgani, our daily digital events will inspire, educate, and showcase the latest cleantech innovations in the Pacific Northwest.

At a time when a wave of climate protest and growing commitment internationally to the goals of zero net carbon give hope for decisive action, the Summit will explore the fundamental changes now required to the energy system, transport, industry, the economy and society, and the risks and opportunities ahead.

The Direct Air Capture Climate Mobilization Summit will feature two days of professionally-moderated, interactive discussions to develop a plan for radically accelerating the deployment of Direct Air Capture, a core enabling technology for the large-scale carbon removal that we urgently need to address climate change.

This event is an invitation-only, co-creation, results-oriented dialogue. Joining us will be key leaders in technology, business, policy, finance, communications, and civil society who are well positioned to help design the mobilization effort and support its successful implementation.

The 2^nd International Conference on Negative CO₂ Emissions will be held May 12-15, 2020, at Chalmers University of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden. The purpose of this conference series is to bring together a wide range of scientists, experts and stakeholders, in order to engage in various aspects of research relating to negative CO₂ emissions. This will include various negative emission technologies, climate modelling, climate policies and incentives.

Held entirely online, the 2020 Industry Growth Forum will consist of the pitch competition (April 29) and one-on-one meetings with startups and investors (April 30).

The 40 investor-selected cleantech startups will be pitching via live webinar in their respective tracks to an online audience of attendees and investors. Recordings of each pitch will also be provided to registrants. We have four tracks of pitches including: Growth Stage, Commercialization Stage, Early Stage and Emerging Markets.  Pitches are judged live by a panel of investors and the top-scoring companies awarded Best Venture (1) and Outstanding Venture (2).

One-on-one meetings between startups and investors are scheduled through the event’s mobile or desktop application, available to registrants. Once meetings are scheduled, participants will receive a calendar invite with a conference line to join for each meeting. If you are not an investor or startup, you can also use the app to set up ad hoc meetings or make networking contacts.
