At a time when a wave of climate protest and growing commitment internationally to the goals of zero net carbon give hope for decisive action, the Summit will explore the fundamental changes now required to the energy system, transport, industry, the economy and society, and the risks and opportunities ahead.London, United Kingdom
The Direct Air Capture Climate Mobilization Summit will feature two days of professionally-moderated, interactive discussions to develop a plan for radically accelerating the deployment of Direct Air Capture, a core enabling technology for the large-scale carbon removal that we urgently need to address climate change.
This event is an invitation-only, co-creation, results-oriented dialogue. Joining us will be key leaders in technology, business, policy, finance, communications, and civil society who are well positioned to help design the mobilization effort and support its successful implementation.
We believe now is both an essential and opportune moment to align around a compelling, positive vision and an actionable road map for rapidly scaling Direct Air Capture to both address the threat of climate change and begin to build a more sustainable, equitable, and prosperous future.
We are grateful for your participation. Zoom Links and Calendar Invites will be sent to you after your registration is confirmed.Elk, CA (online)

According to the 2018 report by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, most future emission reduction pathways that enable to limit global average temperature increases to 1.5˚C require the deployment of some form of carbon dioxide removal. Direct air capture (DAC) is a process of capturing carbon dioxide (CO2) directly from the ambient air, as opposed to capturing from point sources, such as a cement factory or power plant, and generating a concentrated stream of CO2 for permanent underground storage, or for utilization in products.
The development of and the global attention on DAC has significantly increased over the past years, with both research speeding up and various commercial offerings now being available. This webinar will hear expert interventions on why direct air capture is so important, what types of solutions are available, as well as where some of the key R&D focus areas might be in the future.Virtual Event
